Spectralytics - China
Spectralytics is please to announce the hiring of Jianxin (Mark) Zhang as General Manager of Spectralytics – China, a new enterprise that will focus initially on the manufacture of coronary and vascular stents.
Mr. Zhang has a MS Biomedical Engineering degree from Peking Vinian Medical College and a BS Electrical Engineering degree from Tianjin Technology University. He has also been awarded Second Prize for Excellent Research by Chinese National Ministry of Health in 1995, and has conducted several projects funded by American Heart Association and Medtronic; at Cedars Sinai Medical Center of the UCLA Medical School.

New Additions to Reduce Development Lead-times
Spectralytics (US) has added another 7-axis 193 nm Excimer Laser to reduce lead times for prototype ablation, drilling, and skiving in Nylon, PeBax and other medical polymers. With a company wide initiative to reduce lead times we are also assembling another 7-axis 248nm Excimer Laser system that will be used for prototypes in Polyurethane and PEEK. Our hypotube cutting area is upgrading several systems to allow for improved capabilities in long laser cut hypotube shafts to complement our cutting of coronary and peripheral stents.
